Arrival Venice region
Participants arrive at Venice Marco Polo airport during the day and are greeted by our local correspondent, who will accompany you throughout your stay in Italy.
Transfer by private coach or minibus to your hotel in the Venice area.
Keys handed over and you settle into your room. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Padua - Tuscany
Lunch at the hotel.
Visit Padua: city of Roman origins, city of art, city of pilgrimage, university town.
Morning guided tour of the historic center and its main monuments: the Basilica of Saint Anthony (Donatello’s statue of the Gattamelata, the interior with the Saint’s Chapel, the high altar, the cloisters), Place des Herbes, Place des Fruits, Place des Seigneurs, the University (founded in 1222).
Dinner in a downtown restaurant
Free afternoon in the historic center to discover its artistic and architectural treasures (the large square of Prato della Valle) and for shopping (Padua has a wealth of boutiques!).
Then on to Tuscany. Coach transfer to your 3*** hotel in Montecatini Terme.
Montecatini Terme is an elegant spa town, one of the best-known in Italy, with a lively downtown area full of bars, bistros, boutiques and parks. Keys handed over and rooms moved in.

Florence
Lunch at your hotel.
Departure by train for Florence. Guided tour of the main monuments of the city center: you’ll discover (exteriors) the church of Santa Maria del Fiore with Brunelleschi’s prestigious dome and imposing façade, Giotto’s Campanile and the Baptistery with its bronze doors, the most famous of which is the Gate of Paradise.
Continue on to Piazza della Signoria, a beautiful square in the heart of the city, surrounded by the Palazzo Vecchio (Town Hall) with its elegant tower.

The afternoon is free for personal discovery of the city and its treasures.

Montecatini Alta and Lucca
Lunch at your hotel.
In the morning, you’ll climb up to Montecatini Alta, the medieval part of the town, built high up on the hill, from where you can enjoy a beautiful panorama of the whole of Tuscany. We’ll take the legendary “Funicular” that links the modern part of town to the top of the hill where the historic center is located.
Dinner in a restaurant or hotel
In the afternoon, we take you on a guided tour of Lucca and its typical historic center: the great 4 km ramparts that completely enclose the center, the 6th-century Duomo with its rich facade of white and green marble, the church of San Michele with its characteristic large facade (visit outside), the typical narrow streets that still retain a special charm, the noble palaces and elegant houses of old Lucca, the curious oval Piazza del Amphitheater.
Return to Montecatini late afternoon.

Travel for the day could be by train: journey time from Lucca to Montecatini approx. 25 minutes.
Pisa
Lunch at your hotel.
In the morning, we’ll take a trip to the famous city of Pisa, a tranquil city by the sea, an ancient ‘Marinara’ republic with splendid testimonies to its rich past. Guided tour of the main monuments: the famous Piazza del Duomo, also known as Piazza dei Miracoli, the sumptuous Duomo with its grandiose facade and imposing interior (note the pulpit), the Baptistery rich in gables and pinnacles and, of course, the famous Leaning Tower, the ancient 58 m. high bell tower, one of the symbols of Italy.

In the afternoon, we’ll head north again.
Arrival in the Venice region in the late afternoon.

Venice
Lunch at the hotel.
Presentation of a Transport Pass, valid for the day on all public transport in the city (streetcar, bus, public boats), which can be easily used for all journeys, even in the evening after dinner.
Guided tour of St. Mark’s Square and Basilica. Participants will discover the grandiose Basilica (exterior), the facades of the Doge’s Palace, symbol of the greatness and power of the Serenissima doges (exterior). The group will admire the other emblems of St. Mark’s Square: the Campanile (exterior), the Clock Tower, the Bridge of Sighs, the Procuraties and more.
Dinner in a restaurant in the historic center
In the afternoon, take a walk with your guide to discover the typical, popular quarters of the city, as far as the Rialto Bridge, with time to wander freely through the narrow streets.
Return to the hotel in the late afternoon for dinner and accommodation.
The islands of the lagoon
All-day excursion by public or private boat to the Venetian lagoon along its tranquil canals: stop at Murano for a visit to a glass factory with a demonstration by a master glassmaker; then on to Burano, the island of lace and colorful fishermen’s houses.

Return to the hotel in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Venice and departure
Breakfast at your hotel. Depending on flight departure times, transfer to Venice airport and departure for your return journey.
