Morning visit to the 270-acre Temple of Heaven, built in 1420. It is the largest building reserved for religious worship in China. Originally, it was used by the Ming and Qing emperors to pay homage to the heavens and pray for an abundant harvest during the year.

You’ll visit Tian An Men Square, the world’s largest public gathering place, as well as the Forbidden City, once the Imperial Palace and comprising over 9999 rooms. The complex is an immense palace built in the 15th century.

You’ll witness the magnificent spectacle of acrobatics.

Specialty dinner, Mongolian fondue before returning to the hotel.

Start the day with a walk on a section of the Great Wall “MuTianYu” (cable car included).

Dinner at the foot of the wall.

You’ll visit the magnificent Summer Palace. This palace was once a resting place for emperors. It remains a haven of peace for tourists. You can relax in the ancient pavilions, mansions, temples, bridges and lake. Photo stop outside the “Bird’s Nest” and the “Water Cube”, the Olympic Stadium considered the most beautiful stadium in the world.

In the evening, enjoy Beijing’s famous Peking duck.

Beijing - Xi'an

This morning you’ll visit the old Hutong district by rickshaw and a pearl house. You’ll have dinner with the locals.

In the afternoon, take the 1st class TGV to Xi’an, once the capital of China for 13 dynasties.

On arrival, dinner of calabash-cooked chicken and transfer to hotel.

In the morning, you’ll take a Taichi class with a master at the foot of the ramparts. Then off to Lintong to visit the spectacular site of the Stone Army, one of the world’s most important archaeological discoveries. This 16,300-metre square excavation reveals over 8,000 life-size terracotta figurines of warriors and horses in battle positions. Visit a jade factory on the way.

For dinner, enjoy a banquet of dumplings.

The dinner will be followed by a marvellous Tang dynasty musical show.

In the morning, you’ll take a class in calligraphy and traditional Chinese painting. Then visit the ancient city walls.

In the afternoon, you’ll also visit the Little Wild Goose Pagoda and the City Museum. Then a stroll through the fascinating market in the Muslim quarter.

In the evening, dinner in the city center, featuring a Muslim specialty Yangrou Paomo and mutton kebab. Afterwards, take a leisurely stroll to the illuminated Clothe Tower and Tembour square.

Xi'an - Guilin - Longshen

In the morning, you’ll take your flight to Guilin. After arrival, you’ll head for Longshen Mountain (2h drive). You’ll visit rice terraces and minority villages, and maybe even meet the Yao minority women, famous for their beautiful pink embroidered costumes, heavy silver jewelry and long hair that sometimes touches the ground!

Lodging close to rice fields in a mountainous region, you can pack a change of clothes the night before and leave your large suitcase in our vehicle.

Supper at the hotel restaurant with typical minority dishes and sticky bamboo rix

Longshen - Yangshuo

02/12/2026

After lunch, you’ll continue your hike for another viewpoint at the summit. Then you’ll leave this beautiful mountain and head for Yangshuo (3-hour drive).

Dinner of local specialties, the famous beer fish. Then you’ll be treated to a beautiful musical show, “Liusanjie”, performed on a river by 500 local artists.

Yangshuo - Guilin

After lunch, you’ll take a 1-hour raft trip on the Li River to admire the needle-shaped hills surrounded by tropical vegetation. Then it’s on to Guilin.

Stop off at a magnificent Tea Plantation to learn about its culture and enjoy a cup of tea.

Supper at the Maixiangfang restaurant for typical local dishes and egg rolls. In the evening, we’ll take a “Guilin by night” walk along the Two Rivers and Four Lakes near the hotel.
Overnight in Guilin.

Guilin-Shanghai

This morning, flight to Shanghai. On arrival, transfer to the city.

Visit the city of Shanghai, China’s largest economic and commercial center. Among other things, you’ll see the old Yuyuan district and Nanjing pedestrian street, home to many department stores and small boutiques, and walk along the Bund, where you’ll marvel at the beauty of the historic architecture.

Specialty dinner: the famous Xiaolongbao. Then in the evening, take a night cruise on the Huangpu River to admire the illuminated skyscrapers.

Shanghai - Suzhou - Shanghai

After lunch, off to Suzhou. Visit the beautiful Master Net Garden and the silk factory. In the afternoon, you’ll take a canal cruise from Ping Jiang Street, recognized as a UNESCO site.

Specialty dinner in a local restaurant before returning to the hotel.

Shanghai - Montreal

After lunch, we’re off to Lujiazui, the financial district and its skyscrapers, where you can climb to the 118th floor for a superb 360° view of Shanghai’s tallest tower.

(Option:180yuan (35$CAD) per person, to be paid on site if the weather is fine).

Then we’ll visit the Jade Buddha Temple. Then we’ll take a stroll through the 1000 Trees district and M50 Creative Park, and visit the Tianzifang French Consession, where you can do your last shopping.

Farewell Seafood Buffet Dinner at Shanghai Marriott Marquis City Centre Hotel.

In the early evening, transfer to the airport for your return flight to Montreal.
