Continuation to the charming town of Cafayate (1685m altitude), surrounded by vineyards and numerous archaeological remains. In addition to its five-aisled cathedral and bodegas, its beauty lies in the coolness of its patios shaded by vine arbors. Lunch in a local restaurant. Visit to a traditional bodega. Return to Salta.

SALTA / PURMAMARCA / TILCARA / JUJUY

Depart for a day trip through the Quebrada de Humahuaca, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Discover some of the most beautiful landscapes in northwestern Argentina. Arrival at Purmamarca, famous for the Cerro de los Siete Colores, a mountain of multicolored strata offering a spectacular panorama. After a stroll through the village and a visit to the craft market, dinner at a local restaurant. Then off to Tilcara to explore the Pucará, an ancient indigenous fortress with a breathtaking view over the valley, and the botanical cactus garden. Stop at the Tropic of Capricorn. On to Jujuy.

USHUAÏA

Catamaran excursion on the Beagle Channel, well known to the great navigators on their way to Cape Horn. Discover Ushuaïa Bay, the seal and bird islands.

USHUAÏA EL CALAFATE (01H15 FLIGHT)

Transfer to the airport and flight to El Calafate. Welcome on arrival by your local English-speaking guide.
Dinner in a local restaurant. Visit to the “Glaciarium” museum, a must-see place to learn more about glaciers and contemporary environmental challenges. Transfer to an estancia. Sheep-shearing demonstration, followed by a typical Patagonian sheep dinner. The meal will be followed by an Argentine folk show. Overnight at estancia EL GALPON 3*(or similar)
EL CALAFATE / UPSALA CRUISE - SPEGAZZINI / EL CALAFATE (50KM/01H00)
Breakfast.
Departure for navigation on Lago Argentino, South America’s 3rd largest lake. After around 2 hours’ sailing, we arrive opposite the Upsala glacier.
Dinner in a park restaurant during the excursion. Discover the Spegazzini glacier and the hidden face of the Perito Moreno, just as impressive as its main façade. Return to the pier and El Calafate at the end of the day. Optional: 4×4 excursion to discover the magnificent scenery of Cerro Frias: a magnificent panorama of the city, the Patagonian steppe and Lake Argentina.

EL CALAFATE / PERITO MORENO / EL CALAFATE (80KM/01H00)

Departure for a visit to the Perito Moreno glacier, one of the only glaciers in the world to continue its advance into the water. Its 60-metre-high front extends 4 km along the lake. During your visit, you can observe the glacier from the walkways provided.
Dinner in the park restaurant. Departure for a cruise up close to the Perito Moreno. Return to the pier.
