KIGALI / NYUNGWE FOREST NATIONAL PARK (280KM/06H00)
Breakfast.
Meet your private guide and depart for Nyungwe National Park. En route, visit the King’s Palace, which offers a glimpse into Rwanda’s monarchy and its abolition in the early 1960s as a result of colonialism. You’ll also explore the Ethnographic Museum.
Dinner.
In the afternoon, a walk through the park and a crossing over a suspension bridge 70 meters above the forest. Scientists believe that Nyungwe remained forested during the last ice age, which may explain its remarkable biodiversity of plants and animals, as well as its 13 species of primates.
NYUNGWE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
Breakfast.
A 3- to 5-hour hike in search of chimpanzees (sightings not guaranteed). Watch the chimpanzees swing through the trees and leap from branch to branch.

Hike in search of mountain gorillas (4 to 6 hours, in a small group, English-speaking). Meet your English-speaking guide, who will explain the itinerary for this exceptional morning spent searching for gorillas. Set out on a hiking adventure through the natural habitat of these great mammals. This immersive experience may offer you the chance for a special encounter with a family of gorillas.

Hike in search of the golden monkeys. Classified as “endangered,” golden monkeys are magnificent primates with long, golden facial hair and bright orange backs.
Dinner. Visit to the village of Iby’Iwacu, which means “treasure of our home.” It is a lively cultural village that has helped former poachers turn over a new leaf by realizing the harmful impact they had on wildlife and the future of generations to come. Then, transfer to Kigali.

KIGALI / AIRPORT TRANSFER

Depart for a guided tour of Kigali, off the beaten path. You’ll visit the headquarters of a women’s organization that works to promote education and professional integration for women in the country. You’ll then set off on foot through Nyamirambo, one of Kigali’s oldest neighborhoods. Along the way, you’ll visit a women’s hair salon, a lookout point offering a beautiful view of Kigali, and a tailor’s shop…
Dinner.
Visit the Hôtel des Mille Collines and the Kigali Genocide Memorial. Then, transfer to the international airport for your return flight (departing at 7:00 p.m. or later).
