SAN JOSÉ / IRAZU VOLCANO / CARTAGO / SAN JOSÉ
Breakfast.
Early morning departure for Irazú Volcano. Dinner at a local restaurant. Then, a stop in Cartago, which was the most important city until the Central American provinces gained independence in 1821.
Visit the Basilica of Nuestra Señora de los Angeles. Return to San José and a stroll through downtown. Visit the community project “Museo y Mercadito Chieton Moren” and stop at the market to sample a traditional local drink.

SAN JOSÉ / SARAPIQUI / ARENAL (230KM/05H00)
Breakfast, then departure for Arenal.
A tour of a cassava plantation followed by a chance to interact with the farmers.
Traditional dinner prepared by the family. Continue on to La Fortuna, dominated by the Arenal Volcano. Stop to observe iguanas. Arrive in La Fortuna and explore the village. Check in at the hotel, then set out to discover rural Costa Rican life with a visit to an organic farm accompanied by local farmers.

Set off on a walk through the rainforest along a stunning trail of suspension bridges set against an unforgettable backdrop.

Set out to experience a special moment with the Maleku indigenous community, where you’ll learn about their history and traditions. Take a short walk during which you can try your hand at archery.

We set off for Rincon de la Vieja National Park to explore its unique volcanic features.

Return to the hotel and enjoy a free afternoon at your own pace—take a walk along the hotel’s trails or try one of the optional activities available on-site, such as horseback riding, a canopy tour, or a unique spa experience in the heart of the gardens and nature.

Breakfast.
Departure for Monteverde. Visit the CASEM cooperative, which supports local artists—mostly women—by selling their unique, handmade creations.
Dinner at the venue. Then, a guided tour of a coffee plantation to learn about the production process, followed by a tasting. Check in at your hotel at the end of the day.

A morning spent exploring the Monteverde Cloud Forest, a unique sanctuary of biodiversity where mystical landscapes meet exceptional flora and fauna.
If you’re lucky, you might spot a quetzal. Then, we’ll head to Tarcoles.
