NAIROBI

Arrival at Nairobi International Airport. Transfer to your hotel.

NAIROBI / MONT KENYA / OL PEJETA (220KM/03H45)

Breakfast.

Drive north through the tea and coffee plantations. Stop at the local market in Sagana.

Dine at a restaurant nestled within a sacred fig tree, where you can enjoy trout raised on the premises.

We continue on to the Ol Pejeta Private Reserve, overlooked by Mount Kenya, the country’s highest peak, which rises to an elevation of 5,199 meters. This reserve is one of the largest sanctuaries for black rhinos. It is also home to the world’s last two northern white rhinos. Set out on a safari in search of the legendary “Big 5.”

OL PEJETA / SHABA / SAMBURU (150KM/02H30)

Breakfast.

Discover Kenya’s only chimpanzee sanctuary. This center takes in primates from all over Africa—which may have been used as test subjects, pets, or even film extras—to offer them a peaceful return to the wild within the reserve.

Dinner on the way.

We continue on to the Shaba National Reserve. Dominated by the volcano of the same name, the landscapes here are more arid and are home to unique species such as the Grévy’s zebra and the reticulated giraffe.

SAMBURU

Breakfast.

Bordered by the Ewaso Ng’iro River, the Samburu Reserve is a veritable Noah’s Ark surrounded by oases where animals come to drink, offering breathtaking scenes of wildlife. Take a safari into the heart of this strikingly beautiful environment.

Dinner along the way. Meet the Samburu people, who raise goats and camels. You’ll learn about their way of life and daily routines.

NAKURU / MASAI MARA (215KM/04H00)

Breakfast.

Set off on a safari around the lake. The vastness of this body of water attracts a large number of wild animals. During your safari, you’ll be able to spot leopards perched on the branches of the acacia trees lining the shores, as well as giraffes, buffalo, and even rhinos.

Picnic dinner. Drive to the Masai Mara, where all the magic of western Kenya comes together. This area is home to an exceptionally rich variety of wildlife, and the savanna—populated by Mara wildebeests—is undoubtedly the region’s main attraction. Set out on a walking safari accompanied by a Maasai guide.

MASAI MARA

Breakfast.

A day-long safari to explore the Masai Mara. Discover its wildlife and exceptional landscapes, which stretch across 1,510 km².

Picnic dinner. This region is also where the Great Migration takes place, an annual migration cycle in which approximately 2 million animals move between the Masai Mara and the Serengeti.

Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

MASAI MARA / LAKE NAIVASHA (295KM/05H30)

Breakfast.

Depart by car for Lake Naivasha, in the heart of the Great Rift Valley. This freshwater lake offers an idyllic setting for hippos and birdwatching.

Dinner at the hotel. Departure for a roughly 1-hour boat ride on Lake Naivasha. Arrival on land for a walking safari on Crescent Island. This private reserve is home to many animal species, such as giraffes, warthogs, zebras, gazelles, and impalas.

LAKE NAIVASHA / AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK (400KM/05H30)

Breakfast.

Drive to Amboseli, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Picnic lunch.

Off on a safari. Nestled between swamps and savanna, Amboseli is an ideal place for spotting elephants and the 400 species of birds recorded there.

AMBOSELI / TSAVO PARK (240KM/04H00)

Breakfast.

Morning safari to explore the park’s rich wildlife and unique landscapes. Stop along the way to visit a school (feel free to bring toys and school supplies).

Dinner at the lodge. Then, departure for Tsavo.

TSAVO PARK / NAIROBI (285 KM/05H30)

Breakfast.

Set off on a safari in the heart of Kenya’s largest national park. The wildlife here is incredibly diverse, and the landscapes are breathtaking. The volcanic rock formations contrast with the rolling plains, making this park an ideal destination for photography enthusiasts.

Picnic dinner. Then, transfer to the Voi train station. Board the train bound for Nairobi. English-speaking transfer from the Nairobi train station to the hotel.

TRANSFER TO NAIROBI AIRPORT

Breakfast.

On the way north from Nairobi, you’ll visit a tea plantation and learn how Kenyan tea is grown, picked, and processed.

Dinner in the farm gardens with tea tasting. Visit to the Giraffe Center, dedicated to the preservation of endangered Rothschild giraffes. An elevated platform allows you to get close to them and feed them by hand. Transfer to the airport and board your scheduled flight.
